The practice of Chiropractic consists of the palpation and adjustment, with the hands, of the movable segments of the spinal column to their proper position.
The spine consists of a series of vertebrae stacked upon each other with our nervous system existing between them. Each nerve travels it's own course to tell the components of our body what to do. Sometimes the surrounding tissue or bone will compromise the space of these nerves. Any pressure will impair the conductivity of the nerves and decrease their function. These changes to the vertebrae are termed subluxations.
Chiropractor aim to restore their ability to function normally by removing the impingement with chiropractic adjustments. The benefit of the chiropractic adjustment is outlined by the following sequence: Adjustment Sublixation Nerve communication Disease Symptoms Health.
